By downloading, installing, or using the HeyChef application or visiting heychef.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

HeyChef is an AI-powered meal planning application that generates personalised meal plans, recipes, and grocery lists. The service uses large language model technology to create content based on your preferences and inputs.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of HeyChef. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

HeyChef offers a free tier and a Premium subscription. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing:

• You authorise the relevant app store to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Prices may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

5. AI-Generated Content

Meal plans, recipes, and nutritional information are generated by AI and are provided for informational purposes only. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• Nutritional information is estimated and should not be used as a substitute for professional dietary advice.
• You should consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, particularly if you have health conditions or allergies.
• We are not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from following AI-generated recipes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the service.
• Use the service to generate harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use automated means to access the service at a rate that burdens our infrastructure.

7. Intellectual Property

The HeyChef application, brand, and underlying technology are owned by HeyChef and protected by intellectual property laws. AI-generated recipes and meal plans created for your personal use may be used freely by you. You may not redistribute or commercialise AI-generated content from HeyChef.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HeyChef shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
